Re: Skinny perow coming

I am going to make one change from Geralds plans, The front deck will be 5 ft and the rear one will be 4 ft. I like to carry an extra paddle and several more things that are long and light.
Got the front and rear bulkheads glued up

Started gluing the shear strips on.

I am going to be waiting on epoxy and cloth if it doesnt hurry up and come in.

Bob
After all those year you know I have to keep at least one welding rig, it is a security blanket
I know where the clamps are when I need them :D

Ok to answer some questions that were ask at the beginning of this build,
Rocker 2 inches at the bow 1 1/2 at stern makes it track good and keeps the long water line

Sides are flaired 10 degrees
Gerald the guy that designed this boat for me ,swears that a wide flair makes the boat tippy
and has a whole lot more rock from side waves. I ask him to design me a fast perow and this was the design he came up with.
My Duck has less flair than this boat with the exception of where we had to widen her so she would meet the specs of 22 inch width at a 4 inch water line and she handles well..
In a few weeks we will see if it works that way.

Geez Ron,

I like the lines of this one - a lot.

Been thinking on doing something a little similar, only with a laker style bottom.

Why do you prefer the flat bottom mate?

Looking good, Ron. You got me wanting to try those strip panels too. Make sure you give us a side by side comparison between this boat and the Duck. I'm curious on the difference of the flat bottom vs V bottom.
