Another idea, Ron. If you don't put a cooler in the large bin, you could fill it with eels. Run a couple wires over to an electric trolling motor and be self-propelled with no noxious fumes (as long as you stay away from the Texas beans.)

Took a saw to her today
got to have hatches
gluing in the lips for seals
gaskets installed
getting the little things done so if this weather ever breaks can be ready.

Right now I really can't answer that I need to put some more miles on her loaded and see how she handles, all I like is putting the cords on the hatch covers and making a couple of places I can bunji the cooler down and she will be ready to rumble I will put a couple short trips on her and I can tell you more.

I would call it a 16' Laker with fish hatch and big cockpit. I love it. Great design, and build and your touch has turned it into a very good all purpose boat. Well done mate.
I am tipping that Matt will be getting orders for this type of boat real soon.
I have been playing with ideas for something a little similar with Matt's Cape Fear for about a year now (if I ever get time to build it)

I got a few things touched up on the Queen today Hatches are finished
back
blocks glued on the floor to keep seat from moving
if you look at the back block there is a hole one side for paddle leash the other for chair tiedown
Got tie downs for cooler fixed
as you can see in the pics it gives me a lot of options on the way I tie it down and enough different points to attach that I can lace anyway I need for a load
And now the good part headed for the lake
floats plenty shallow
And of we go
Dang this boat handles good
I didnt get this pic just like I wanted it but from the swirl behind me you can tell she turns in her own length
I can't say enough good about this boat she is the best one yet.
