    I'll echo what others had said about Permethrin. Around here in the Great Dismal Swamp the Lone Star ticks, and seed ticks get real heavy starting April, and Merchant Mill Pond tends to swarm with em, along with chiggers. DEET won't slow them down.     Jack is right....folded end down, sealed end up being sure in removing as much air out of the bag as possible. Also, I use a stuff bag for the rocks, attaching it to the drybag with a carabiner.
