Wood Bending In The Bedroom
I had to test it for myself way back when and took a 4" wide scrap of luan and bent it into a coil with no breakage. Good stuff and might help you out.
Scooter that lookes almost exactly like my first few boats. I fear you have a fair bit of sanding to do. The key on your next boat that I found out by the 3rd and 4th boat is more coats spread much thinner. Also only mix a lil at a time so you dont have to worry about it setting up before...
funny they just mentioned on the news we are in a mediocre drought. As for that lake and the one i'm on, they are hydro electric dammed lakes. They make electicity in the winter therefore the low water... leave them up for recreation during the summer.
I cut up the bondo spreaders and use them. It allows you to spread it evenly and when it hardens, just bend until the epoxy seperates from the spreader. Clean and easy. They are cheap and you can cut them to whatever size you like.
Thanks folks.... I'll leave it right where it is then. The temps are on their way up so I wont get too concerned with it.
This is my first time with epoxy after building everything with poly. The metered pumps are the bees knees. Just cant go wrong with them and so far i'm pretty pleased...
What is the proper way to store epoxy? I've got mine in the garage that temps vary a great deal. Lately its been between down in the low 30's to up in the 70's. Is this bad for the epoxy? I've got the pumps on the bottles too, is there anything negative that comes along with leaving them...
I'm by no means an expert like many of these folks here but the way I understand it is... Epoxy will stick to polyester just fine but polyester does not stick to epoxy. You would be fine with a 4oz. cloth and epoxy in my opinion
