Alternative to Paintbrush?

I've only recently joined with this forum, but that's long enough to know there are some creative, resourceful, and frugal members. When applying epoxy to bond the stem/stern to sides (or similar areas) what do you use to apply the it besides a paint brush?

It just seems like a waste to use and then throw away even a cheap brush when doing such a small area.

I use the inexpensive foam brushes and toss them when the job is done. You can use the inexpensive bristle brushes and then clean them in some acetone , I have managed to use them three times before they become totally useless.

I cut up the bondo spreaders and use them. It allows you to spread it evenly and when it hardens, just bend until the epoxy seperates from the spreader. Clean and easy. They are cheap and you can cut them to whatever size you like.

Best price I've seen yet on CHIP BRUSHES, the chinese bristle brushes, is at Harbor Freight. They have a website and take orders easily.

For the fiddly bits, I use the elcheapo bristle brushes. at 50 cents each, they are cheaper to throw away than use acetone to try to clean them.

If you have to clean a brush with epoxy on it just use white vinegar , it works better than acetone and isn't as bad for you

JEZEeeeeeeeeeeeeee I eat that stuff. Cut up some onions and some cucumbers in a glass container , add a little salt and pepper then put the white vinegar over them and let them sit for a spell in the frig.

Guys, you'll just have to overlook his dementia. I promise you, he USED to be so upstanding and robust. Sad case now.
