That looks great. What kind of paint did you use on the interior?

    Bufflehead (Sailing Canoe)

I'm thinking the Bufflehead could be a very challenging build. Lots of kevlar & stuff.

Where or How do I start?

I agree with those advising a simple plan. I started on something a little too complex, an 8 panel British decked canoe, and it was much harder. As a result, it's about 70% complete - after nearly 2 years. :? (But, hey, I haven't given up, Jack !) As I had no noticeable skills at the time, I...

    interior tie-on loops

Anybody got any ideas how to attach some loops or eyes inside a big plywood canoe/kayak for the purpose of tieing in netting, cargo, etc? Without punching a rivet through the hull, I mean. I'm toying with the idea of taking some webbing and looping it through some small pieces of ply, like 1X2...

    Plywood- Baton Rouge area

That aint a bad price, if it's full sheets (it'll be metric & slightly bigger than 4X8). Certainly more money than the door skin stuff, but I'd be all over the okoume if I had a choice and could pick it up and avoid the freight. Not trying to spark up the age old argument. Jus my 2 cents worth.

I'll never look at Monopoly the same again.

Wow. That's great. I've never heard that story before. My dad had a couple of American silk maps that he carried in the Aleutians in WWII. He was flying a reconnaisance float-plane that was launched off a cruiser and picked up later after landing in the water near the ship. They operated with...

Gonna try to go Pro. Whaddaya Think?

Those are seriously nice artsy prints. What size are they in "reality"? What size negative are you working with? Can you get set up to process your own negatives and prints? Good luck with the new business, and I think you're right to try to find a niche. The "easy way out" things like...

Taking a trip down memory lane today......

45 years. That's quite an accomplishment! Congratulations on picking a good wife, or letting a good woman pick you. :) Kim & I hit 30 last month, and I can say without hesitation I would do it again if I had a choice (maybe not all the same way... Well, definitely not all the same way).

I have started the Bayou Skiff....

Dang, Chuck, that looks nice. I can tell you've built a few already. Can I refer you back a few pages and ask a question? When you had the bottom glued on oversized, did you trim it out with your pull saw? I've been thinking ahead on my build about the deck panels and how to make em fit, and...

    My Midlife Crisis

That's a nice lookin bike. Looks brand new. Been years since I've ridden a road bike, decades actually. What're the helmet laws like there? Does the new tat have any hidden significance?

    glassing pirogue

Yo pirogue looks mah-velous, Joey. (Chuck, are you saying that blue accent stripe on your canoe IS electrical tape? Did you put a coat of epoxy over the tape or not?)

Things are getting out of hand , BIG TIME

According to my better half, who is a long-time nurse, the system down here is replete with Canadian nurses who took traveling jobs down this way to escape the Canadian national system. More money, less government BS.
