Why should a person build a wood boat ?

If you could enjoy sleek, lightweight, beautiful canoe or sea kayak that costs well under $1,000, you can build it for yourself. What will it require from you ? A little time, effort a working area, and some simple tools. Skill/ Well a little. TANSTAAFL “there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch.â€

Hi folks
I don't know the answer to the question but I do say that I think it is a way of getting in touch with your inner being. Any how Ihope so I just started cuttin the wood for my new P-row TV This should let me personally know why I want to build a wooden boat. Ahh Heck Chuck says it's fun.

Also less irritating to the wife than those hobbies would be.
