I heard a historian talk about a tavern in Willamsburg where the top minds of the day gathered to converse around a large table. He said there was never more insight and intelligence there as when Jefferson dined alone. 8)

Jefferson was, no doubt, an intellectual that helped shape and form our country. I'm currently reading "John Adams" by David McCullogh. He was a powerful influence too. Interestingly enough, they both died on the same day - 50 years to the day after signing the Declaration of Independence.

There were many, great minds that teamed up to form America.
