Big shoals campsite.
Your account of the ATV's reminded me. Last time we camped there around midnite, we were about to turn in and a pick up pulls right up to the main campsite and two drunk guys got out and danged if one of em wasn't wearing one of those house arrest ankle thingies! :shock:
I quitely walked over to my tent to retrive my "peacekeeper" while they exchanged small talk with the other folks that were camping with us. Nothing came of it but we sure didn't sleep very easy that night.
Thats the one and only time that I've had anything close to any sort of trouble camping there but it is for sure getting more crowded these days.
Camped there last winter and shared the site with a group out of Alabama. Had a great time if not a quite time. They dumped a canoe looking at the shoals from the bottom side and I fell in trying to help them out
Them little trees along the bank ain't as strong as they look! LOL
