Finally slimed!! Took 3 trips but finally caught a fish. Guess the fact that it took me so long to actually catch a fish means I need more practice.

You got one , now catch some more. Not sure about your area but the Popping Corks and a small shrimp produce quite well on the Trout ( Spotted Weakfish ) over here. Always woundered about that name , they are not weak by any stretch of the imagination.

That works here as well, just not for me... yet. We have a brand known locally as a Vudu (pronounced voodoo) shrimp, clear with chartreuse

Make sure you use the one with chartreuse in it. This way if you don't catch anything and take the bait home you won't fry it thinking it's a real shrimp.
