What would happen to this boat if I reduced to one thwart in the middle and took out about half of the inner gunwhales--leaving just some to have places to tie/bungee to but not having the full-length inner structure? I'm needing to reduce whatever weight I can, cause we don't seem to take her out much anymore... Might also trim out a little of the breasthooks...

I've not used one yet, but a lot of people use those little 2 wheeled carriers that you can buy or build to put under one end. Recipes for building one cheep from PVC are pretty easy to find. They seem to do a good job for some.

That boats awful purty to be chopin on (only my opinion).

Agree with all the above posts.

In fact, I would most likely add some weight by putting in a couple of seats. As we age kneeling for any length of time becomes a bit harder on the old joints. [ask Jack  ]
