Been pretty wet around here for awhile. TxRiverRat and myself were tired of being cooped up so we met for a quick walk through a place we like to go. There is a little of everything here. There are creeks,a small lake, lots of trails to wander on and lots of very thick woods. We saw all kinds of tracks from rabbits to coons to bobcats in the fresh mud. We carried our bows with fishing reels attached just in case. With all of the rain the night before and the overcast skies the fish had moved out of the shallow water but we did manage to get one carp.

We walked around for about four hours and it was sure good to get out of the house. As soon as the Brazos river settles down we have several overnight camping/fishing/hunting trips planned.
