Recently built this jig. The practice scarfs have turned out very well. I like the results better than my efforts with hand tools and sanders or the circler saw jig I had.

I should have posted more about this. I had mixed results with the jig. Attention to details and experience is important for good results. I had some issues with full size panels remaining flat on the table. Also, too much downward pressure on the router would cause the bit to cut too deep. A more robust carrier would help.
Not saying it isn't a good idea just giving a heads up.
