...I was stressing the bow in the consecutive notches. That way I could check to see if the bow bent evenly. If you get flat spots, then you work the wood until it is an even bend.

I'm sorry your bow broke. Damned disappointing after all that work. And, thanks for the explanation. I appreciate it.
