I figured this would be the best place to post this........Since both of us are old but he was a lot older then me.
Pups was 14 , that is 98 in our years so he had me beat by 32 years. If I ever live that long then I may get to see how he felt. From what I have witnessed that may not be a good thing.
After a lot of soul searching and talking with the wife , not mention putting it off for a long time , we decided that he was just hurting to bad to keep him around for our selfish reasons and it would be a lot better to let him end his time with us , free of pain.
His hips were bothering him , he had trouble standing and then mussel spasms that would make him walk all bent over to one side in circles. Plus his vision was failing or fading fast.
Anyway after a lot of pain medication and joint medication and everything else we could do he just keep going down hill. So today we took him to the Doc and with one injection he ended his suffering and went to a better place and is pain free.
So all I can say is my best friend has left and is a lot better off.
I SURE WILL MISS HIM.
