I think that being able to have a center seat position in this build will take care of the problem Dave had with his boat. It will allow a single paddler to sit more forward and put the front of the boat lower in the water. Making it track better and help with the wind situation he was having.
Dave had a LOT of weight towards the stern of his boat with large battery, trolling motor and so on and Dave also sat well back and he is certainly no midget.
I think that properly trimmed, the boat will be very good to paddle.
