My sons took me to see the newest “MIDWAY” movie this afternoon. I get to the the cinema maybe once every couple of years. I dislike the pompous asses of Hollywood with a passion. However, the boys know I’m a history nerd and it’s an afternoon with lunch and the cinema with my sons. Anyway, I was very surprised with the historical accuracy of this picture. I was also surprised by mostly clean language and no sexual content. (One F-bomb) in 2 hours and eighteen minutes. I remembered a U-Tube video not too long ago about the action in WWII Pacific Theater. As I watched this picture this video came to mind. They were “The Greatest Generation”.

What a difference time makes. Thank God there are still some of us around to appreciate what they did for us.
I received a letter from the Veterans Association yesterday and it appears folks are destroying monuments dedicated to veterans of foreign wars. Even back to monuments for WW1 Vets.
I blame the lack of National Pride and even the latest craze of removing Civil War monuments. They don't know or bother to think there is no way you can erase history.
In plain language for the simpletons that think they can , chew on this thought...... You can't un-ring a bell .

They want socialism and someday unless things change... they’ll have it. Be careful what you wish for.. easy to vote socialism in, but then you have to shoot you’re way out of it... unless they take your guns.
