Ham & Beans with Sausage , Cheddar-Pimiento Biscuits

The Publix Grocery Stores have recipes in there weekly fliers and I tried this one last week.
It is some easy Bean Soup to make and the Biscuits are really worth making.
Hint...... Do Not add any salt to this , the ham has plenty for the soup.

Ham and Beans With Sausage

Ingredients
1 large yellow onion, coarsely chopped
3 smoked sausage links (7 oz) ( Johnsonville Smoked Brats )
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 (8-oz) package cooked ham chunks ( Cumberland Diced Ham )
1 (32-oz) box reduced-sodium chicken broth
2 cans pinto beans (15–16 oz), drained
1 can great Northern beans (15–16 oz), drained
1 bay leaf

Prep
* Chop onion.
* Cut sausage into bite-size pieces.

Steps

1. Preheat stock pot on medium 2–3 minutes. Place butter, sausage, ham, and onions in pan; cook and stir 3–4 minutes or until onions have softened.
2. Stir in broth, both beans, and bay leaf; simmer 25–30 minutes or until mixture reduces by about one-half. Remove bay leaf and serve.

Cheddar-Pimiento Biscuits

Ingredients
Cooking spray
1 (7.75-oz) package cheese-garlic biscuit mix
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 (4-oz) jar diced pimientos, drained
1/2 cup water

Prep

* Preheat oven to 450°F. Coat baking sheet with spray.

Steps
1. Combine remaining ingredients. Drop into 6 biscuits (by 1/4 cupfuls) onto baking sheet.
2. Bake 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden. Let stand 5 minutes to cool. Serve.
