I got the glass on the #2 pirogue today, after doing some heavy duty repars to a 24" fisherman in the side yard. It had been hit by a flying tree, and had a hole punched thru the deck, and out the hull......with a 1/4 split along the chine a distance of about three feet. I did a part of the split to stabilize things a bit and will get to the big hole very last.
More fun to glass a pirogue. Before dark I'll spread a second coat of epoxy on it and get ready to rock 'n roll.......Mine will be painted some sort of muddy green. The one I am making for a friend will be varnished inside and out.
Hot day, even the slow hardener was going off FAST.
