I came across this website http://www.maplecreekcanoes.com/index.html .

They build canvas canoes without tacks or nails. They epoxy the planks to the ribs. I got curious as to what they charge so I called.

It's a one-year lead time. Total is $4,000! :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

I'd use epoxy instead of nails or tacks and fiberglass instead of canvas like this one:

Saw one of these just yesterday in the Kittery Trading Post. Beautiful boat! Only got to look at it as long as my 3 year old would stay interested. Price tag was somewhere around 3k.
