Ron's had one of those 2 sec ones and it has a lot of room in it when up. Ron's tent offered some warmth and wind protection while we enjoyed a hot cup of coffee sitting in there. Waiting for sun rise so we could walk the gravel bar and collect stuff that the storm scattered along it, including some of the boats.
His went threw that storm of the century on the Brazos where the two Eurekas were damaged , Bears with the poles sheared off and some other damage and mine which was totally destroyed. I packed my tent in the trash can at the landing when we got off the river that afternoon.
We found out it was a Tornado that came close to us and the winds were between 70 and 90 , depending on which news station was broadcasting the report.
