A Reusable ( NOT ) Paper Towel

Well Christmas has come and gone for 2021.
One of the items I received , I believe would make a nice camping item. Especially if you take paper towels with you and are always running out of them.

This item is a towel made from Bamboo.
( Bamboo grows more then 3 feet per day making it a reliable , renewable , resource. )
Interesting note.....Paper Towels , Americans use around 13 BILLION pounds of paper towels each year. That's around 51,000 trees a day that are tossed away after one use.

YEP !!! You read that right , Bamboo.
It's called , Super Bamboo Reusable ( Not ) Paper Towels. 100% Bamboo fiber.
30 reusable Bamboo towels per roll , Up to 80 Uses Per Sheet.
Each sheet is 10.6" x 11.8" per Sheet.

As they say ....The sheets are.

* Up to 80 Washes Per Sheet.

I can say they are extremely Soft , eye glasses wiping soft.
Easy to hand wash. Rinse and squeeze several times.
Dries quicker then a normal towel.
More absorbent then paper towels.
They don't fall apart like paper towels do when wet.
I used 2 together ( making a sheet 10.6 x 23.6 ) on the Cars windshield , windows and trim molding. Then rinsed and hung on a line to dry. Now they are ready to do it all over again.
You could take the whole roll ( 10.6 tall , 3 inches wide , 6.6 ounces ) camping but I believe a few sheets would do the normal camping trip.

I did some surfing on the web and on Amazon , Kitchen Nobel has the same towel for a buck less per roll and they are out of Tennessee.

Interesting, but, for somewhere near the same price you can get the 16"x24" blue surgical towels that last just about forever. I have been using them for years and have found nothing better for the price. I just toss them in the washer & dryer and they are good to go again and again. Sometimes, I dirty one so badly in the garage I just toss it. These make great kitchen towels and wipes, too.

If you know someone who works in surgery, you can even get them free because once a package is opened the remaining towels are tossed, even if only one towel is used.

I get the microfiber towels from Harbor Freight. But - mine are orange! Should I trade those in for blue ones?

Pink and white striped ones ( Preferably not used ones from the hospital ) they remind me of candy. LOL.
Thanks but I'll stick with these bamboozles , O'oop's , Bamboo ones. They are nice and soft , soak up a lot and weight very little. Best of all they take up very little space ( about as much as a folded paper towel ) in my backpacks pocket but offer a lot of uses.
As that old saying goes , "Don't knock it till you tried it ".

They’d be handy in the car, to wipe off that grey coating that gathers on the inside of the windshield. I’ve read that is caused by plastics in our cars “off gassing”. Makes you wonder what we’re breathing in?

Maybe we should wear masks for that?

Jack , If you knew about all of the crap we breath in ( every day ) you would proably stop breathing. My problem is that I can't hold my breath for that long.
