A few progress pics

As I have mentioned in other posts I got the plans to build a Duckhunter years ago but never made the jump. Even though I just finished up my small boat last week. My brother and I got started on the DH over the weekend. I'm hooked on buliding wood boats !

I live in Southern Illinois,and hunt here in Missouri, Arkansas,Tennessee . Kentucky, and Indiana alt least a few times every year. I couldnt wait till today so I took the boat out to the lake,well whats left of the lake ,and she worked great ! It dont track as well as I would have liked but...

Plan is to let the paint dry better and get it in the water Monday. I got my fingers crossed that it will float !

Paint job done. I cant seem to get the other pics to load to my email. As soon as they do I'll post em up.

Glass and epoxy done. After I gave the floor 2 coats of epoxy I gave it 2 coats of spray in bed liner.

Yes I have been worried about that. I have two reasons I went with 1/2" on the bottom . One I couldnt find any "good" 3/8" BC plywood and two one of the places I plan on using this boat has some nasty . . . well I dont know what to call it than some kinda swamp bush that is hell on fiberglass...

Couldn't help but to paint the bottom before I turned it over for the inside work.

Almost done with the outside glassing.

Even though the bottom is made from 1/2" you think it has the possibility to buckle ?

Does anyone have any suggestions on whether I should glass it all or just the bottom and epoxy inside ? Looking for advantages and disadvantages for both.

Now I'm back to thinking what I want to do next. I cant decide to glass it inside and out or just glass the outside. I want to keep the weight down so I was leaning toward just glassing the outside, BUT I want it to last me a few years so thinking it would be best to do the inside too. My...

Well after a few months reading the forum,and deciding on what I wanted to build I finally got started on my boat.

Yea that what I ment. I have experience with building things with wood but you guys are boat builders. I have never so I askin the "pros".
