Here is my 1377 converted to a 1322 with longer .22 caliber pellet barrel, better pumper grip along with black pistol grips. I put a red/green holographic sight on it also for my older eyes.
It has been a while since I worked on my Cedar Strip Panel boat. I kind of got burned out for a while and just let it sit. Lighthouse Keepers Kid has been after me to finish so we could go fishing and I have been busy the last few days when I wasn’t waiting for glue or epoxy to dry. I just...
I finally got started on my cedar strip boat this weekend. Putting all these strips together is slow and will take a little longer to build than my first plywood boat. I will try and keep you posted with the build as get more done. I am building a big guy 3 panel fishing boat out of 1 inch...
Here is an article I wrote for my blog this week. I thought some of you dove hunters might enjoy it. ET

How long do I need to let epoxy cure before I start to varnish the boat? Do I have to sand it? Everytime I sand the epoxy it loses some of its clearness.

Thanks guys this is my first go at...
I don't know if any of you use jug lines when you fish or not. I am making some pop up jugs to use once my new boat is finished. Here is an article on my blog on jug lines and a video on how to make the pop up jug lines. Be sure and take a look at the kayak in the picture that is powered by a...

I am a lover of BBQ and enjoy all styles. I grew up around some of the great pit masters in Texas and learned a lot of ways to do BBQ. I am giving you a tried and true method for Texas style BBQ and a sauce. I am biased and think this is the best but I am always willing to try a different...
I am building a boat using the UJ stems and ribs. I want to use a chine instead of filets on the interior around the bottom. The ribs are only about 1 1/8 inch wide so if I cut out a notch for the chine I am afraid they will be too thin. Can I notch the chine board or should I approach this in...
I am building a pirogue and need to know what glue, adhesive or epoxy I should use to put it together that will be compatible with the epoxy I use to fiberglass the boat. I do not want to open and mix the epoxy that is for the fiberglassing until I am ready to do that job. Thanks, ET
