Starting a Compumarine classic canoe

Here's a couple of pictures of my future 16' canoe. There's already several things I found that would make the build a bit better than the instructions from Compumarine. Not complaining, just being picky. I've written them up and can post them if anyone's interested.

I'm working off Mylar tracings of the drawings. I got specific OK to do this from Compumarine. They thought it was a good idea. This is a picture of the stack of shapes.


Bottom of the first half of the strongback.


Top of strongback. I jointed one 90 deg. angle on the cross supports for the station molds to get a good, square piece to work with.

Looks good. Wish I had that much room in my garage :oops:

I especially like your clamping strips on the edge of the molds.
