Just ordered all the materials and cut out the plywood for a strongback.
The boat will be stich and glue okoume and have a Sapele or strip top?
15'-6" long x 27" wide (up too 275lb. paddler) The boat is also self draining.

Finished the strongback and added extensions to lay out a 16' x 4' lenght of plywood. Will start marking the patterns out tommorrrow.
Cold here, but not in the heated garage. :D

Finally finished cutting everything out.
Spliced the panels together and stiched the bottom halve together.
Ready to start gluing them together and fiberglassing before I start the top halve.

That lumber has been standing that way for 2 years and it is still as straight as the day I stored it.
It is all kiln dried!!!

These kayaks are mainly used in the marshes and inland saltwater bays, where no other boats can get too the reds. They will take rougher water (waves).
