My First Dugout Pirogue

After watching Keith and seedtick build a dugout cypress pirogue, I wanted to do one. Just a couple of things were standing in my way. I didn't have any suitable cypress and I don't have any "dugout" skills. :roll: This is my scaled down effort. Not a real boat but fun to do.
I even had enough left over cypress for a couple paddles.

That is neat. Could you put on another picture of it with a 12" ruler next to it so we can get an idea of the scale. I bet you had a blast doing it.

Bob, it was suppose to be scaled 1" = 1'. I intended for it to represent a 12' X 2' pirogue. It turned out to be 10.5" X 1.75". Close enough for building by hand and eye, I recon. I did mention I do not know what I am doing, didn't I?

I cant wait to see what your dugout would look like when you get it all figured out. Looks to me like you already had it figured out. That was pretty neat.
