Folks,
Fer a few weeks we been watchin' Brier Rabbit 'n hiz family grow. Since I aint been shootin', they grow mitey dang fast. We got over 2,000' of chain link round our place. It keeps most of the illegal dogs out. We been makin' a forest outta our place, so rabbits, possum, raccoon, squirrels, foxes, birds, snakes, rats 'n more like ta call it home.
Az time went by Brier Rabbit 'n hiz family begun ta hang out on the patio that Miz Bear built. They dont even seem ta notice us no more. Today me'n Roscoe wuz out pickin' up sticks 'n limbs from the tornado that missed us by 1.79 miles. Two young rabbits wuz playin' chase 'n run rite past us, then run under the goat castration cage, then they run back within a few feet of us. I never had rabbits become so familiar. This kinda thing usually has a bad end....with me puttin' a Josey Wales on 'em.....but it haz been nice. I jest seen one young rabbit run thru the patio az I type. I watched 5 of 'em play chase a few hours ago.
I see anuther one way out past the bird feeders. Before long they mite even run inta us...playin' chase. This afternoon I went out ta try the Hennessy 'n az I wuz snoozin'....I mean testin'.....three rabbits come up rite next ta me. I spoke ta 'em real soft cuz I didnt want rabbit turds all over the place. Two backed off, but one come on by. I tell ya, I jest dont git no respect.
regards

ps Before I got thru typin' this, two more rabbits come cross the patio. Roscoe 'n Twyla dont even care bout rabbits no more. Cats! :?
Every increased possession loads us with new weariness. John Ruskin
