Talked to Kim Wed and he told me he was going to be below Falls Sat
I went out visited with him when he was putting in I decided it was still a little chilly so was going to take rain check (I am a whimp when it comes to cold and water) Around one o'clock sun came out warmed up loaded up headed for river.
Slid the little heritage down bank and took of down the river,man this yak floats shallow , saw Kim couple miles down stopped and fished for a while no bites.
We paddled back up river and I got to meet Hunter for the first time
They had other commitment I wanted to paddle a little longer so I put in above the Falls. Paddled up to a hole i knew about a couple miles up river
Caught one channel about four lbs on ultra light was a good tussel.
Started back down river and saw critter on the bank, it was a nutria the first one I have seen in twenty years on the Brazos's the beaver have come back the nutria disappeared. 1/2 mile down the river saw a beaver he swam right up to yak before he took off. also saw a moma killdee with 4 little ones on gravel bar.
Was a great day on water can't wait to do it again
