I started making beer pancakes and beer biscuits in about '66 when we were in a dry camp, but fortunately had a lot of beer. For about 5 years, much to their momma's chagrin, the kids all wanted beer biscuits for their birthday cakes.

I've never added sugar, but usually add a pinch or two of salt when I mix Bisquick and beer. Also add eggs as the box suggests, but not required.

The biscuits can be spiced up with added minced onion, shredded cheese, minced garlic, caraway seeds, dill, or some admixture of spices.

OK........here's the danger of posting recipes. I found that beer biscuit recipe on a good food site.....and trusted it.

so, tonight I gave it a try. Believe me, there was nothing to roll out, so I made drop biscuits....and they are baking, and spreading, as I type. Sure, I could have added more mix, but wanted to try it as - written before modification.

So, if you try these, have more mix on hand. they smell great and may turn out...i'll keep you posted.

i had to go in to work today, i don't usually work sundays, but this was a violin emergency. So, I popped out of bed way too early on a sunday, and sliced one of those big floppy biscuits horizontally , stuck it in the toaster oven till it was good and hot and found another place to eat BUTTER. Some good Iron County Maple Syrup on top and man, that was some Jarvis Good Eatin'.

They won't go to waste, even if they weren't exactly perfect. Heck, neither Jack or I are perfect and still our families love us. Matter of fact, I just made a list of everyone on the Forum who seems to be perfect. Here it is:
