Another wasted evening

Today was my day off, so as usual, i spent it working. This time, for my landlord at an apartment he is remodeling. For a treat he brought me about a two foot long Speckled Trout, fresh out of the Gulf.

Hmmm...........'soon as i got home, it went into the big smoker grill and it is still out there, smoking away.......won't be quite like the smoked lake trout or whitefish we had in the Upper Penninsula, but i'll bet it'll be just about OK to eat.

If this happens again, does anyone have any slow smoking recipes or advice for fish?

high gas prices=printing to much paper money 'n makin' the dollar worthless

Got to be more to it than that.
Since last August, the price of a barrel of oil increased by about 45%, while in the same time frame, the value of a US dollar has decreased by 11%.

When the guviment figgers folks wont stand fer somethin' it aims ta do, it dont tax 'em ta pay fer it, it jest prints some dough ta pay fer it. Printin' all the "thin air money" caint do nuthin' but make our dollars worth less 'n less. Folks in other countries know this 'n aint too keen on bein' paid in dollars. If they gotta take dollars, they want a heap more of 'em, cuz they know it iz "thin air" money.

ps Notice the big drops all come after payin' fer wars by printin' money.....least til payin' fer WWII.

I carried some of that smoked trout in and gave it back to my landlord today. By about two-o'clock he had brought me 7-more fish, to take home and smoke for him.

So, by 6 Pm they were warm and happy in the smoker. By about 7 PM the old B**CH who lives next door......about fifty yards away, had called the police to report that I had a fire in the back yard.

I guess i'll have to reciprocate each and every time her GD labrador comes over to poop in my yard.

What the H*** gets into people?
