Mick, Turkey is a NATO member. I don't see the US declaring war on a NATO member without something extremely serious happening to provoke a war. At this moment, I cannot think of anything that might cause it unless Turkey was to attack the US first. I doubt they are that stupid.

As near as I can determine, presidential elections have been held during all previous wars and conflicts when the official election day falls during the war. There is nothing I can find that gives Constitutional power to delay a presidential election until the war is completed. In fact, I found...
