    "Short Stuff" pirogue

Texas River Rat ( Ron , tx river rat ) summed it up pretty good in a article on this forum many years ago. "There ain't such a thing as the perfect boat " Then he changed it to.... " There ain't no perfect tent , wood , boat , hatch , sleeping bag or women ".

    Kayak Jack?

I got a email from Jack stating the same thing. He's had the same problems off and on for over a month , closer to 2 months. We thought it was corrected but apparently not. I was wondering has anyone else had any problems signing on over the last two months ? I know dumb question , if you...

Any of the bean meals I cook have way more then a messily , paltry , skimpy , sampling of 196 beans in them. 196 different meals ( recipes ) with beans as the main ingredient.

Nancy Pelosi trying to out do Biden.

I like to watch shorts from Sky News Australia to see what our media is keeping from us. This is a block buster and shows why other countries thing we are weird. It's 4:42 minutes long and interesting. I bet you never saw this on any American news channel.

    heavy wood vs light wood

Without questions we would never have any answers to think about. I can't answer with a definite response , all I know is it adds strength and protection to my boats. I do a very diluted ( could call it a watered ( Acetone & Epoxy ) down mix ) mix at 1st , then a more normal one before glassing...

    heavy wood vs light wood

Beekeeper said..." I have not been a big fan of Luan plywood mainly because of rot and delaminating issues." Very true in most cases. Like all things there is way to get around it. I found if you epoxy saturate the wood it really helps to stop any problems. I like to mix epoxy with some Acetone...

    boat weight

" but their use on the inside would be a waste of money " You are over looking the wear and tare on the inside of the boat. A interior layer of fiberglass adds protection to the wood against any wear from shoes , dirt or sand on the feet. Might call it the sandpaper effect on the surface of...

    Pancakes

Yep , When they changed the name I changed pancake's. Krusteaz makes some really good bread mixes for the bread machines. The Cranberry & Orange mix is especially good. They have some good tasting brownie mixes plus the muffin and cookie mixes they have. Really , I have never gotten a bad mix or...

    Hammock Holdall Camping organizer

They are all over the web if you Google them. I got a couple from Hammock Gear years ago. I liked thiers because of the mesh and the light weigh (.75 oz ). Carrying everything on your back weight does matter. I get a tickle when someone videos ( YouTube ) a gear report and when showing something...

    Help Draw Deer

1st ....I'd check ( Google ) the local laws regulating baiting of wild life , or check with your local Conservation Officer or Office on the laws. Game Biologists with the wildlife division are also helpful as far to what crops for the local area. If there is a clearing then plant a garden...

    Planning new pirogue

Might want to watch this but it does require some glass work. A good example of light weight construction and how the center material can be anything when using glass. I found it quite interesting.

    Planning new pirogue

Remember the saying , measure twice and cut one time. Well modify it to Think three times , worry twice and construct one time. Personally I would use 1/8th inch door skins , epoxy saturate the whole boat and glass the whole thing with 3.25 tight woven glass. 14 feet in length it should be...
