    Some Everglades Snook.

Bearridge; Might look like a pony tail, but I am really saving up for a future "back to front" comb-over pompadore that will put Don Trump to shame. DM mike

    Some Everglades Snook.

Couple of snook I caught during our little paddle thru the Everglades. Both of these were caught while I was wading off of Highland Beach. The small one, was 24". The big one was 28". Both released to roam the ocean. Closed season for them in the Everglades, and they upped the minimum...

    flippin yer sides

Re: flippen yer sides Tiki; Three words for you "CARBIDE Paint Scraper". If you don't already have one, run right out and get you one (or two different ones). You can find them in the paint section of the hardware stores, not in the tool section. I like the Warner brand, carried by ACE...

    Bamboo paddle shaft?

There are some places around here where the bamboo grows along some of the rivers, love the sound it makes when the wind blows and clanks the stalks together. Wish I had some of that giant bamboo. I have heard that stuff grows like weeds and what started out as a small clump so takes over...

    ocklawaha in march.

I love paddling the Silver river, weekdays are best, weekends bring out the motorboats. And they dont idle much faster than you can paddle, so you can end up breathing boat exhaust for alot of the trip. Unfortunately yes, those monkeys are used to being fed. Unfortunately those monkeys...

    Sturgeon and the Suwannee River.

Oz; Jumping sturgeon are much more scary than those Japanese carps. When I was camping at Manatee Springs last year, walking down to the dock that goes out into the Suwannee River, you could hear what sounded like somebody chucking bowling balls or huge rocks into the river. It was actually...

    Google Earth to NOAA charts

Neat site I got from a kayak fishing site. Google Earth image that converts over to a NOAA chart for that area (if available). Doesn't seem to have any charts for OZ. Might be kinda slow for the dial-up folks. http://demo.geogarage.com/noaa/ DM mike

    Jambalaya, Chicken & Sausage

I am not a fan of shrimp in stuff, but you could add them. If I was to add shrimp, I would throw them in to cook at the "Add to chicken along with the sausage, rice, chicken stock, salt and pepper." step. Cook them the few minutes it takes (they get some flavor, and add some flavor this way)...

    Jambalaya, Chicken & Sausage

Because FunBun has never had it. Heres the recipe I use, got it out of the local paper years ago, it was in an article about things you can bring to a covered dish event, so it makes alot. I make no claims if this is a "real" jambalaya, but I like it. Good the first day, better the second &...

Pk trip Yanke and Texas Redneck

Chuck; Heres a link to a Frito Pie recipe. http://www.texascooking.com/recipes/Fritopie.htm The "camping" version I remember is just opening a individual size serving bag of Fritos and dumping the chili and stuff in and eating it out if the bag. Good camping food. DM mike

    Squeegee?? (Applying glass/epoxy)

These are the type I use. Plastic. http://www.duckworksbbs.com/supplies/tools/squeege/index.htm You may be able to find something similar at a automotive parts store in the repair (bondo) section. I like the squeegee for applying the epoxy to cloth, because it really lets you move the...

If you could buy only 1 sander???

Both the Home Depot and Lowes in my area carry the carbide scrapers. But like Richard says, ya gotta look in the paint section instead of the tool section. I got mine from ACE Hardware. I like the Warner brand, the offset handle saves your knuckles a bit. I have both the Warner 803 (2"...
