That is one nice looking boat especially in the water were she belongs. I love the way the cross grain looks on the decks. Congrats and happy boating! 8)

That looks like a sweet spot AERO! I can't wait to get mine done so I can do some exploring to! The boat looks great! How much did she end up weighing after the mods you did?
Yes Mick, It's disgusting. I think I have a little bit of OCD or something. I get all anxious when there is a mess on the floor! I think my lovely wife of 20 years might acctually have me trained! Sure hope she does'nt read this then she will think she has won that battle!
That's exactly right catfish. I have gleaned so much information from all of you here that I feel like I'm in good hands always. I hope you all are proud of yourselves when you see the fruit of your tootlegde in others that seek it here. It's like your all looking over my shoulder while I'm...
making some progress! Sure the yard needs mowed and the gutters cleaned out! But!!!!
bottom attached and some sure-form trimming on the excess! Hey the floor got a little messy guy's. Right before I vacumed
masking for fillets and fillets in! Now to sand and get a saturation...
I love seeing the little ones getting involved. Mine are to big to convince them sanding is a much sought after job that only the most skilled and worthy applicants are allowed to do!
Bye the way TAW don't let the powers that be here see your shop clean or there will be some ribbing...
Hey tx, you sure are puting that boat together fast. Does that poly resin dry that fast or do you have a lot of time to devote to building?
Looking good!

Sweet looking bunch of cats Tx. The boat looks like it's coming along great. I am alraedy thinking about building another before my first is done.
I can't wait to see your freedom and hear how you like her! 8)
I will heed the warnings that came before my glassing days Captain!! All prior lessons are duley noted. I will still probably turn the air blue in the garage a couple of times before it's over!
Love the boat Foggy! It looks great and your glass job on the inside does also. That is gonna be a...
Just to let you know Mick I have thoroughly enjoyed all your posts on the trip. It was almost like being there. The piccies are great and some of the places you stayed are stunning. I need to get over to your side of the world and get wet in some of your beautiful waters.
Thanks Mate, Good...
Coming along!
Ribs in.
Attaching rub rails.
I used a 1- 1/2" door jam trim made of pine for the rub rails, it was light and available in 16 ft lengths. Here is an end view. I thought it would have a nice flow so to speak!
Maybe I should have wrote. I find it therapeutic? Yeah that works to! Either way I get into what I'm doing and forget about daily bull! Same thing when I'm fly fishing or tying flies! I'm sure I will get the same enjoyment from paddling as all of you folks do!
Can't wait!
Chad
My neck hurts! keep the pics coming Mudd. The lawn mower adds a touch of flare to the boat. What horse power is she gonna be? All kidding aside it looks like you are at about the same stage as I am building. The guy's here have made me feel right at home. Kind of like getting a big noogie...
Jack there are no lawyers here unless you consider the ones under the house, or in the garden. Nope no lawyers here! Who needs scruples any way I can only hope that koothe comes your way soon and you can pass it on to me and Bob although it might get wasted here as well but hey, It's...
I'm glad I'm not the only one who get's a Load for having a clean shop/garage. I can't help myself! Keep up the good work Foggy maybe we can start a new trend on this board and shame some of the other geezers to clean up a bit. Ahh! Who am I kidding!
Ah Ha! We are all in the same boat after all! Pun intended. I have some acetone on hand and will carefully put it in my mix for the saturation coat only, not the glass coat or subsequint layers there after. Holy crap I am starting to sound like a gall darn lawyer! Blah Blah Blah!! ...
Thanks Chuck, I kind of answered my own question by going back out to the garage and also clamping the outside rub rail in place and that took care of the slight bow inward at the #2 and #3 ribs. So It is centered for me also.
Hey, on a side note I talked to a friend yesterday that lives in...
I have a build question. On a three rib boat what are the drawbacks to putting the #2 and #3 ribs fore and aft about 6-7 inches? when I clamped them in to mark them I noticed a slight inward bow where they were clamped centered between the center rib and the bottom of the stems. My concern with...
