    Outrigger question

Thanks for the compliment paddlin4reds, but I have never driven a train in my life. That is a slick set up though. I guess necessity is the mother of invention! The outriggers from spring creek are nice but a bit pricey. I might have to do some train driven after all!

Which boat, LONG and lots of pics....

I hope you build the Laker! I have had my eye on one for some time now and it would be great to have someone with experience to get help from. I know nothing of lap strake contruction but from what I've read it looks to be fairly simple. GOOD LUCK!

Which boat, LONG and lots of pics....

I like both the Laker and the DKdingy the laker has a very sexy look to her as does the DK. I have been looking at the same boats so I could take a passenger or 2 and also fish from easily. The Dk like Mick says would probably be easier to build for less money and is not a flat bottom. Unless...

JC that is a sweet set up also! I remember when that article was published on FAOL. I might consider such a set up in the future if this one dissapoints me. I like the fact you can anchor both ends of the boat at the same time. Thanks for posting the links.

Mike I am honored you choose the method I proposed. Redfisher indicated that other systems are hard to pull but I can assure you the one I configured is as easy to pull for and aft as it gets. I am sure you will customize it to your liking and it will work great. I can't wait to see what you...

    Boat Name question

Hey Funbun, just get one of them fellers that pinstripes cars to do it or make yourself a stencil and cut it out with an exacto knife and do it yourself. You can also buy some custom made transferable stickers. Google is a good place to start. Have fun!

Here are some pics of the rod holders I got at Bass Pro for only $14.99 and shipping was only 3.95 cuz it was under 15.00 dollars. Not a bad deal! I just rigged up a simple wedge system that works really well at holding it stable. It also can be moved wherever I want it, or on either side. I...

Mike I also rigged up a trolley for my pirogue that I made after looking at the ones on-line for kayaks. I simply used an eye hook at the bow middle and stern that are attached by going through the inwhale from the top with a square nut on the bottom and a fender washer at the top of the...
