    Middle Creek

Dave, Work your way up the creek at low tide and up on the rise. Head over in behind the north shore and as the tide is covering the yabbie bank about 100 metres from the creak entrance, walk the flats - sight fishing. Big tripple tail work that bank every day. They feed on the yabbies and will...

    Middle Creek

G'day Dave, Nice report and piccies mate. A couple of observations if you don't mind? Middle Creek has been flogged by the commercial net fishermen for years/decades to the point where some would argue that are no fish worth a damn left to catch in the southern reach of it. I sort of agree...

G'day Greg, and welcome to the dark side mate. :D This, for many of us is the joy of canoe or kayak fishing. Not only do we catch more fish than the stink boaters, the fight is on more equal terms and every good fish landed is well and truly earned. Bloody glad you are enjoying your pirogue...

    Trench cooking

Yeah mate 'tis. We have a LOT of ex-pat New Zealanders or "Kiwis" as we call them, living in Oz. Many are Maori and this is their traditional way of cooking a feast. Put a buch of Kiwis, a hungi and a few acoustic guitars together and you have a party like none other. Add beer and a few Aussies...

    forgot something

G'day Chuck, I have a lil gal welding experience too mate. I don't think a galvanized tripod would pose any significant health problems. The problem with gal is the fumes emitted when the galvanizing is melted or burnt as is welding or thermal cutting. A normal wood fire would not get hot...
