    Curved Stem

Quite a while ago ( Many Years ) I did a Peterborough Canoe and attached the bow and stern with the stitch and glue style. Then filled the seams at both ends with the epoxy fillet. Most recent Canoe was the 14 ft Sasquatch from Jem Watercraft and used the same building meathods including the bow...

    I Like This Boat Because....................

Bee , I have to agree with you , we have only the best on here and a lot of beautiful boats have been made by everyone. Yes that's the boat. It brought the forum about because there was no where to look for answers to questions on building wood boats like we build. Neil ( future son-in-law )...

    I Like This Boat Because....................

I took this from Marys post. I lost all my pictures but this one she had on her post. It's the Pygmy Coho I built , the 1st wood boat I made after retiring and what started this forum. As you will she she is enjoying it in Canada , just a few miles from Florida...

    Pictures Disappear

I copied and sent your question to the admin using the link to this posting. I lost all of mine when we switched providers since they originally went threw Go Daddy. But the information stayed.

Money to Ukraine & ministy of truth , ripped.

Want to know where the money is going or has already gone. Keep in mind the wall for the southern border would cost 12 Billion and Biden just asked for 40 Billion MORE for Ukraine. That's enough for 3.3333333 walls. She lists where the money has already gone. The new ministry of truth ...

    Curved Stem

The pleasure of building the boat you want is that the only person who has to be happy with it is the builder. ( sometimes it's worst critic )

    Curved Stem

Without a challenge in life , life would be no fun. Could be something to think about during the cold winter weather when everything is put on hold. Might even consider it a board game ( sorry about that pun ).

    Curved Stem

Why didn't you take the curve further back along the bottom to eliminate that sharp point at the junction of the bow and bottom ? More like a canoe has.

    "Short Stuff" pirogue

Texas River Rat ( Ron , tx river rat ) summed it up pretty good in a article on this forum many years ago. "There ain't such a thing as the perfect boat " Then he changed it to.... " There ain't no perfect tent , wood , boat , hatch , sleeping bag or women ".

    Kayak Jack?

I got a email from Jack stating the same thing. He's had the same problems off and on for over a month , closer to 2 months. We thought it was corrected but apparently not. I was wondering has anyone else had any problems signing on over the last two months ? I know dumb question , if you...

For me the fun part was watching the boat come together , piece by piece.

    Kayak Jack?

Lord only Knows since none of us ( sane folks ) have any idea about that.

    Kayak Jack?

Any of the bean meals I cook have way more then a messily , paltry , skimpy , sampling of 196 beans in them. 196 different meals ( recipes ) with beans as the main ingredient.

Nancy Pelosi trying to out do Biden.

I like to watch shorts from Sky News Australia to see what our media is keeping from us. This is a block buster and shows why other countries thing we are weird. It's 4:42 minutes long and interesting. I bet you never saw this on any American news channel.

    heavy wood vs light wood

Without questions we would never have any answers to think about. I can't answer with a definite response , all I know is it adds strength and protection to my boats. I do a very diluted ( could call it a watered ( Acetone & Epoxy ) down mix ) mix at 1st , then a more normal one before glassing...

    heavy wood vs light wood

Beekeeper said..." I have not been a big fan of Luan plywood mainly because of rot and delaminating issues." Very true in most cases. Like all things there is way to get around it. I found if you epoxy saturate the wood it really helps to stop any problems. I like to mix epoxy with some Acetone...

    New pirogue .....hybrid build

Good Job , That's one sharp looking Pirogue. If it paddles as great as it looks you will go along without any trouble.
